## Coming This July: AutoCAD Add-ins + Stability Update

We have some thrilling news to share about our upcoming major update coming later this month.
\
This July, BIMIL is expanding beyond Revit to bring you a brand-new platform integration alongside critical system updates to enhance your workflow stability.

### New Platform Expansion: AutoCAD Add-ins

We're launching our first line of AutoCAD add-ins, supporting AutoCAD 2023 through 2027. These are built to cut down on repetitive drafting work, letting you generate common drawing elements in a single click.

* **Dimension Generator:** Automatically place centerline and polyline dimensions in one click
* **Viewport Generator:** Generate layouts and viewports from polyline frames
* **XY Coordinates: Extract and annotate the X, Y coordinates of a clicked point**
* **Quick Layer:** Save layers to number slots, then switch, move, or copy objects between them

To go along with this, BIMIL now lets you browse add-ins by program (Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD) so you can quickly find what's relevant to you instead of scrolling through everything at once.

### Add-in compatibility and stability update

We've overhauled our core system to resolve compatibility issues that previously caused conflicts with other third-party add-ins. BIMIL add-ins now run in an isolated execution environment, which means fewer crashes and more consistent performance when working alongside other tools.

### How to get ready

Once the update is live this July, here's what to do:

1. Close Revit and AutoCAD completely
2. Launch BIMIL and let it update to the latest version automatically
3. Log in to explore the new AutoCAD add-ins and the improved stability update

This is a meaningful step for us as we grow BIMIL into a platform that supports more of the tools you work with every day, and we're looking forward to sharing more as the release date gets closer.
